Halloween

I love the idea and when I was a kid I encouraged all my mates at school to dress up and go trick or treating. It didn't go over too well in my country town and we ended up with some random items- jar of olives and half a roast chicken still stick in my mind. Now 20+ years later is seems like it has finally taken off and in our street it is a big thing. For the last couple of years  I have made sure I have had bowls of lollies for all the little darlings. Last year I had pre teens grabbing fistfuls of chocolate before running  from the veranda after my pathetic scolding for taking too much. This morning I received a note from a friendly neighbour outlining this years activities. We are encouraged to make our house look inviting- I thought the idea was to scare the bejesus out of the kids!!! So all I have is a lonesome ghost figure which I have hung in the window - looks kind of silly so today I want to try and make some stuff. I have no desire to try and take the girls to the shops  so I am off to pinterest  for some inspiration.

  1. this is a good reminder. The kids in this town are really into it, I was caught off guard last year and was handing out Extra chewing gum!

Will have to stock up on some lollies for tomo.
